Case study 1: Sefton Borough CouncilCase study 1: Sefton Borough Council

setech uk was asked to design, manufacture and project manage the pedestrian wayfinding signage for Sefton Borough Council. In order to meet the specification required, setech proposed both monolith and finger posts to meet the stringent technical aspects whilst providing the public with informative and clearly visible signage.

The monoliths proposed were constructed from stainless steel and aluminum panels, mounted on highly polished granite plinths using Poletech foundation system to ensure maximum stability to withstand all the elements. Each panel was finished with a glass coating, providing exceptional durability and colour stability, scratch, graffiti and fire resistance.

The finger posts were constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, whilst each panel was powder coated to match the Councils corporate colours and vinyl coated.

setech then were asked to provide maintenance for the signage to ensure a consistent high quality finish for Sefton’s pedestrians.

Case study 2: BT corporate signageCase study 2: BT corporate signage

setech uk engineers worked alongside Telereal, planning consultants and lighting specialists to design, develop and manufacture the new corporate signage on the BT Towers in London and Birmingham.

The design and engineering was executed at our Scarborough site and included independent structural tests of fixing bolts, building anchors and chemical adhesives. The task of installation for the London site was immense and included the use of a scaffold to encircle the building.

Both sites involved a huge number of additional elements, which included the size of access lifts, internal walkways and ventilation.

Both installations were delivered and installed according to our projected deadlines with minimal disruption to businesses and public within the immediate environment.
